The effectiveness of the inferential control scheme based on robust fractional-order proportional integral (FOPI) controller is presented for automatic voltage regulation (AVR) applications. method uses two degree freedom (2DOF) in FOPI scheme, which tuned with whale optimization algorithm (WOA). Actually, any AVR needs to keep reactive power synchronous generator at demand level, stable and frequency electrical supplies. In this study, 2DOF proposed deviate away from standard integer order, show superiority extra both structure controller. To improve performance, a new performance measure parameter tuning. acquires significant robustness perturbation disturbance interruptions. It observed step response quality that overshoot settling time can be reduced approximately by half than recently published scheme. various analyses are shown accept dominance terms robustness.
